This week, we’re highlighting Craig Nickols — a Centerville, Ohio resident whose passion for people and dedication to community connection make him a true hometown hero.
About Craig Nickols of All State Insurance
Born in Cincinnati and raised in Loveland, Craig moved to Beavercreek during high school and graduated in 2005. His journey has taken him through several industries, each one shaping the dynamic, community-focused leader he is today. After studying at Sinclair College and working in the restaurant world, Craig began his sales career at GNC. He worked his way up to become the General Manager of three locations. From there, he joined Stanton Optical as Sales Manager and apprentice Optician before earning his Insurance License in 2019.
Today, Craig proudly represents the Steve Miller Allstate Agency, where he’s been since 2022. The agency’s reputation speaks for itself — ranked #1 among all Allstate agencies across Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, and Michigan. They earned the impressive spot of #13 nationwide in 2024, based on growth and client retention. Craig’s role within this award-winning agency allows him to combine his people-first approach with his strong work ethic, helping families across the region protect what matters most.
Craig Nickols Hobbies & Passions
When he’s not helping clients, Craig can often be found embracing his passions — music, the outdoors, and good food. He’s played guitar since age 14, spent years playing drums, and is a long-standing member of the Greene County Fish and Game Association. A true Cincinnati sports fan through thick and thin, Craig also has a deep love for cooking, wine, and dining experiences, which led him to found the popular local social group “Wine Club.” Over the last three years, the club has become a gathering place for new friends to connect over fine food, local wines, and great conversation.
Craig’s drive to connect people doesn’t stop there. In October 2023, he launched the “Centerville/Kettering & Neighbors (Police/Fire/EMS Scanners)” Facebook group — an online community that provides real-time emergency updates through local scanner radios. What started as an information-sharing page has grown to over 10,000 members, becoming both a community resource and a platform for charitable givebacks to local first responders. The group’s efforts even caught the attention of Dayton 24/7 Now, who featured their story for making a difference in local public safety awareness.
On top of it all, Craig serves as Treasurer of “Operation Motorcycle Santa,” a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Joshua Dunlap. The organization raises funds and collects toys for families in need during the holidays, ensuring local children wake up to a brighter Christmas morning.
