Since 2003, Whit’s Frozen Custard has served Ohio with its delicious lineup of frozen sweet treats. The original Whit’s Frozen Custard, founded in Granville, OH, is family-owned, and now they offer franchise opportunities to 9 states in the US and continue to expand.
Jonas and I visited their Centerville location. This was the first time I had tasted frozen custard; honestly, it was delicious! Frozen custard offers a whole new experience from ice cream and frozen yogurt. Jonas laughed at me when I said it reminded me of eggnog after it had melted, and I started to drink it. Before you ask, it didn’t taste like eggnog but had that same consistency. It’s hard to put into words, but if you love ice cream and thick delicious treats, then trying Whit’s Frozen Custard is an absolute must!
I loved the decor and the theme of the shop. It appears they converted a garage into their eatery. They have a 50s retro vibe with red and white colors and bright blue and black accents. There are red outdoor tables for the warmer days; if you crave them in the winter, you can eat your frozen custard indoors.
Whit’s Frozen Custard also offers take-home frozen cakes, which are perfect for birthday cakes or party treats. I’m sure the options change daily, but while we were there, they had a “chocolate buckeye madness” cake, “a chocolate-covered strawberry” brownie, and a cake called “for the love of chocolate,” and more! They also offer cones for your custard and four different sizes of cups for your frozen goody. You have the option to mix in other things to your custard. I got mine with hot fudge. Jonas ordered the banana split, and I was very jealous because it looked spectacular.
Overall, I found Whit’s Frozen Custard to be a must-try! They were phenomenal, and it was one of the best things I’ve tried in 2022.
