Escape Room Games

Escape Room Games are a great way to feel trapped in your home, especially when you can’t make it to a brick-and-mortar establishment to become purposefully trapped. I know it sounds silly to intentionally trap yourself in a room and attempt to escape. But, honestly, these games are so much fun!

Think of these games as a puzzle. Players must analyze the cards’ details to find hidden messages and clues. Are there hidden numbers? We once had the game’s barcode be a clue. That was weird, but since I was the one who discovered it, I was so proud of myself.

Hunting for clues

Does that symbol mean anything? Usually, the things you see have meaning. Players must solve each puzzle before moving forward in the game. Sometimes it’s a color or a pattern. These games force the players to think outside of the box.

HELP!!

What if you get stuck? Typically, most of these games pair with an app on your cell phone! So, generally, you can get hints and clues from the app if you cannot decode what’s in front of you.
If you run out of time, don’t worry! We always keep going. Maybe it breaks the rules, but who cares! Indeed, we almost always ignore the time limits anyways. Also, some games will deduct minutes if you ask for clues, which is entirely unfair. Of course, that is just my opinion, but I digress. We have hardly ever hit the time markers, but that’s ok. It never changed how much fun we had, and it is always a goal to make the time limit. Although, we don’t care if we pass it.
