In May 2022, Greene County’s verdant hills welcomed golf enthusiasts to the resurgence of Jasper Hills Golf Club. A phoenix rising from Sebastian Hills Golf Club’s closure five years prior, this 18-hole gem beckons players to a beautifully restored and challenging course nestled in Xenia/Jamestown’s rustic landscapes.

Concrete cart paths wind through rolling terrain, guiding players to a fleet of brand-new EZ-Go gas carts equipped with GPS. The amenities include a state-of-the-art driving range, a practice green, and more. Jasper Hills Golf Club extends an open invitation to all, inviting golfers to indulge in a round or two amidst picturesque scenery.
Our Story: A Comeback Tale
Who doesn’t love a good comeback story? Jasper Hills Golf Club, opening as Sebastian Hills in 2000, featured large ponds, natural streams, and concrete cart paths. Sadly, it closed in 2017, entering a period of neglect until its 2018 sale listing. It wasn’t until late August 2021 that local residents stepped in, fueled by a dream to revive the property.
The initial sight was daunting – overgrown vegetation, neglected fairways, and a question mark over the irrigation system. Undeterred, the community rallied, and with determination and hard work, they tackled the four years of neglect.
The team faced challenges with the greens but persevered, experimenting and reseeding until achieving the desired result. The images tell the story of the transformation – from tangled wilderness to a meticulously groomed golf haven.
While the exterior transformation took shape, attention turned to the pavilion and clubhouse. A visionary plan unfolded, involving a complete renovation of the clubhouse and the addition of a full-service restaurant. Rainy days became opportunities for gutting interiors, envisioning a space that honored history while embracing modernity.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
May 7, 2022, marked the ribbon-cutting ceremony, and on May 21, golfers officially returned to the course. Jasper Hills Golf Club, with its revitalized charm, has been embraced by the community, breathing life back into a cherished local institution.
As part of the broader project, Dalton and Melissa envisioned a full-service restaurant and bar. The former pro-shop space now houses Jasper Kitchen + Bar, a 53-seat restaurant open seven days a week. Offering a delectable menu, from appetizers to brick oven pizza, it stands as a testament to the commitment to making Jasper Hills Golf Club not just a golfing destination but a complete experience for all.
