Jonas and I took a trip to Tacos Barra Jalisco for lunch. They are a small Mexican restaurant in Miamisburg, OH. Tacos Barra Jalisco offers several options, from tacos to bowls and burritos. They have what you would expect from an excellent Mexican restaurant. When we went there, it was lunchtime and a seat-yourself situation.
Inside of Tacos Barra Jalisco
Tacos Barra Jalisco is located in a house on Second Street in downtown Miamisburg. They have taken the downstairs and turned it into a restaurant. There is seating in what used to be the living room, dining room, and porch. You can see the Kitchen in the dining room, which is also where you will pay. We sat at a table in the old dining room area. The bathrooms are also located near the middle of the house, where the dining room is located.
Service
The waitress approached us quickly, gave us the menus, and took our drink order. We didn’t wait long, and she returned quickly with our drinks. The drinks are bottled. Since there aren’t fountain drinks, if you need another pop, you need to buy it. The waitress was friendly and delightful. She engaged with us and answered any questions we had. Our service experience was exceptional. We both agree the waitress was fantastic.
What We Ordered at Tacos Barra Jalisco
We wanted to try the chips and salsa, but we also added the queso. The chips and salsa are included, but you can upgrade and pay for other dipping options. For lunch, I ordered the Veggie Bowl and Jonas ordered street tacos and hard chicken tacos. My Veggie Bowl was DELICIOUS. It was fried perfectly and was crisp and airy, and all the vegetables were perfectly cooked. I will order this again in the future. I also would order the hard chicken tacos that Jonas ordered. Those looked amazing, and Jonas said they were delicious.
Final Thoughts
It isn’t a large restaurant. I can’t say how many tables there were, but there were about 8-10 tables inside and a few outside. They had a lot of carryout orders coming and going, so that would be an option. You can also order through Grub Hub.
Overall, we had a great lunch and a pleasant experience at Tacos Barra Jalisco. I would return with my family for another visit. It’s most certainly worth exploring.
