Sadly, the Sunshine Café was lost to a fire. A new building took its place, and while I can’t remember what opened there at first, I recently returned to the spot—now home to Brent’s Smokin’ Butts and Grill. The moment I pulled into the parking lot, all of those memories came rushing back. It felt full circle in the best way, and the food? Just as comforting.
