The Wandering Griffin Brewery & Pub, located in Beavercreek, OH, is close to Wright State University off Colonel Glenn Highway on Presidential Drive. You will easily find it easily, if you know where the Home Depot is located.
What is their decor?
The theme is planes and aviators with many industrial decors and broad wooden accents. Undoubtedly, they seem to be leaning on the famous wright brothers, Orville Wright and Wilbur Wright, who were Miami Valley inventors known for their first air flight in 1903.
What do they serve?
The Wandering Griffin offers a wide range of in-house beers. For example, Jonas ordered the Hazy Griffin, a sour IPA, and I ordered a cider. I enjoyed my drink and could drink the entire glass. Typically, I would sip and leave an almost full glass behind; I’m not much of a drinker. Also, as for the Hazy Griffin, Jonas enjoyed this drink and said he would order it again.
The menu was full of options from appetizers, pizza, sandwiches, and salads. I ordered the Pesto Chicken BLT and Jonas ordered the Cuban Sandwich. In addition, both sandwiches came with fries. Jonas and I agreed. The fries were amazing! They had just the right amount of seasoning and cooked to perfection. My sandwich came on soft pita bread; the mayo was a pesto sauce. Moreover, Jonas said it reminded him of a giant soft chicken taco. Indeed, It was delicious, and I would order it again. The Cuban offered crisp, crunchy bread, ham, cheese, and pickle. Before, we ordered their “Big Ass Pretzel” as an appetizer. Jonas had devoured the pretzel and, as a result, was stuffed. Even so, this was an enormous pretzel! I had never seen a pretzel this big. It was soft and buttery and covered in salt yet, oh so tasty.
Final Thoughts
Ultimately, We had a very positive experience at Wandering Griffin, and we will make a return visit. The employees were friendly and thoughtful, and the food and beer were great. Certainly, we recommend you give them a try!
